The church has been a world-shaping force; civilization as we know it has been profoundly influenced the message of Jesus and the actions of the church. In order to understand the present shape of the world, students must be familiar with church history.
Course Objectives:
To help students learn and appreciate the major developments and key characters in church history.
The class will:
Tell the story of the Catholic Church; provide analysis of the major events and insights into the key people that have shaped the church.
Give maps and important places throughout church history.
Look at the Catholic identity as it has been molded throughout history.
Hopefully, to help enhance your faith as Catholics.
